If your residential air conditioner’s remote control is not working correctly, resetting it to its factory settings is a good place to start. Step-by-step: How to reset Fujitsu air conditioner remote control

In order to reset your air conditioner’s remote control, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Grab a small ballpoint pen or a similarly small object.

2. Press the ‘Reset’ or ‘ACL’ button for 3 seconds.

3. Wait for the screen to go blank.

4. When the button is released, the remote will revert to its factory setting.

What to do if your Fujitsu air conditioner is not turning on with the remote control

If you are still having troubles with your air conditioner after resetting its remote, the best thing to do is to consult its operating manual, as it contains an overview of the unit and instructions. To find your unit's operating manual search for the model number on our website. Suggest swapping these two paragraphs around 

Another item you can check on your air conditioner remote is the condition of its batteries. Try swapping the placement of the existing batteries. If this does not cure the issue, replace the batteries with a new pair. If the problem persists, your air conditioner’s remote control may need to be repaired by Fujitsu or replaced outright.

How to turn on your Fujitsu air conditioner without the remote

While your remote control is not working, you can still operate your air conditioning system manually.

First, ensure it is receiving power I dont believe an end user would be able to do this step. 

The next step is to open the intake grille. Depending on the model of Fujitsu air conditioner you have, this will either be done by sliding the grille outwards or removing it entirely. Open the intake grille using the same method you would to remove and clean your filters.

Once you have opened the intake grill, you will see a manual push button. This is generally located toward the lower right hand side. Press it and your air conditioner should switch on.

While this method does allow you to use your air conditioner, you will not be able to adjust the temperature setting or any of its other features, unless your unit can be controlled by another source (for example, if you have Wi-Fi control of your unit you will be able to adjust your unit via the  app).
