This year, Mark Taylor is celebrating 20 years as Fujitsu General’s brand ambassador, and the 20^th anniversary of his famous 334 not out innings during the second Test against Pakistan at Peshawar, in 1998.

Joined by more than 300 guests in the Noble dining room at the Sydney Cricket Ground, on Wednesday 18 October, Mark reflected on achieving his Sir Donald Bradman equalling score, and the decisions that followed which lead to him declaring at 334 not out.

Other cricketing notables Ian Healy and Damien Fleming, as well as former PM John Howard, also took to the stage and shared their memories of the day and that test match.

During the event, Philip Perham, Fujitsu General managing director Australia and NZ, presented Mark with a cheque for $655,047, which was the company’s annual donation to the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation. A percentage of sales of all Fujitsu General products goes towards this organisation and to date nearly $8 million has been donated.

The Untold Story: 334 Not Out event also included an auction which raised more than $100,000 for the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation. In the event program, Mark Taylor acknowledged that, ‘Little did I know, when I opened the batting with my mate Michael Slater in Peshawar in October 1998, that 20 years later we would be sitting down for lunch in a room at the Sydney Cricket Ground capitalising on the events of that Test match to raise money for our Foundation.”
